HOW DID I GET HERE?
“The time with my kids goes so fast, what if it slips away and I never become the parent I wanted to be?”
“How did I wind up feeling so stuck?”
“How do I get ahead of this, instead of just trying to get through?”
“What if I don’t know what I’m doing?”
“What if I never figure it out?”
WHERE AM I GOING?
When you first met your child, did you have a vision of the parent you could be to them? An image of yourself, maybe as someone who’s patient and caring, warm and playful? Did you picture yourself teaching, guiding, supporting your child, generously helping them find their way in the world? What happened when that imagined self met up with the sometimes angry, obnoxious, obstinate, anxious real kid?
What if you could find your way back to your best intentions?
Maybe it doesn’t look the same as it did when your kids were wee and all the possibilities were still ahead of you. But now that you know them better, and yourself better, what might it look like?
What if you could get a view from above your day-to-day parenting terrain? What if you could raise your perspective to take in the whole thing: beauty, perils, and all? And from that vantage point, you could decide how to handle the inevitable struggles with your kid — a dilemma that’s leaving you irritable or a crisis that’s keeping your heart racing — whatever it is, whenever it arises? How do you climb up into that firetower, instead of clomping around in the woods?
HOW DO I GET THERE?
Wayfinding is a guided method of visioning, planning, and action to give you a clear path forward, in any parenting landscape.
I'm Jenni (sounds like Jenna), and I’ll be your guide.
I help people raising and becoming the fierce, tender, resourceful, resilient, creative, powerful people this world needs. I do that as a guide with insight into your kids, and as a companion who champions your own growth. Connecting your best intentions with your daily action is what I do best and it’s what the Wayfinding workshop or Wayfinding one-on-one can do for your growth as a parent.
WAYFINDING WORKSHOP INCLUDES:
Mapmaking Retreat
Step away from everyday demands in a half-day retreat, creating the time and distance you need to gain perspective on your parenting. Identify and map out your highest values, greatest hopes, and best intentions for your family.
Through a guided process of ritual, inquiry, visioning, planning, and problem-solving, you’ll plot your aims and develop a connection to your inner guide to navigate your parenting path.
Work individually with me in person or via video call.
mapmaking retreat: 4 hours in person or via zoom video call scheduled at our mutual convenience
Your Parenting Map
By retreat’s end, you’ll have a physical document — your map — laying out where you’re aiming. Your map will be a reference point to aid you in moving the right direction or getting back on track.
Personal Navigation Guidance
Over the course of the following 6 months, you’ll get help traveling new pathways until they begin to feel familiar, with my support and encouragement on regularly scheduled monthly one-on-one hour-long walks or video calls. Connect your vision of the summit with how you walk your daily path.
navigation guidance: pre-arranged twice-monthly 1-hour walks or calls for 6 months to be scheduled in advance at our mutual convenience
Search and Rescue
I’m there to help you find your way in one 90 min one-on-one call scheduled as the need arises, when you’re feeling lost or stuck.
search and rescue: 90-minute ad-hoc guidance call, scheduled one time as needed during our six months working together
